Humble Words June 2013

As the summer heats up, we're happy that you are taking time to read our Humble Words newsletter. This email publication has become an important piece of our communications to current, past and future customers. It is one way that we can tell you about the mix of construction services that you might not be aware of. Steel fabrication is this month's topic.

It's not common for a construction company to do its own steel fabrication. But as you may already know, Humble Construction is not a common construction company. We live the values expressed by the statement "Raze the Standards" because we truly believe that is the only way we can provide the best value to our customers. From fabrication through installation, Humble can provide you with the turnkey solution you need.

This is not a new development for us. We have been producing structural and miscellaneous steel for many projects since 1990. Those projects range from commercial and industrial to retail construction projects. But it's more important to answer why we do it. It allows us to control the production for these component steel products during the construction process. That gives us the ability to manage the schedule and costs associated with your project. But it also lets us add a bit of creativity sometimes to create a unique feature that others might tell you can't be done.

Need a custom steel structure fabricated, galvanized and delivered by the end of the month? Humble can deliver. Need a mezzanine and stairs installed during a one-week shutdown? We can get it done! Whether it's a 100,000 square foot expansion or a specialized requirement for steel installation, we understand the complex process of construction.

In the past year, we have fabricated more than 1,000 tons of steel for our client projects. Beyond the structural steel that you see in these photos, we have fabricated steel for a wide range of applications including these:

  • Mezzanines
  • Conveyor platforms
  • Catwalks and Caged Ladders
  • Equipment Guarding
  • Trench Covers
  • Crossovers
  • Miscellaneous steel for stairs, handrails, etc.

As you can see, this service can play a part in nearly any construction project. That's why we feel it is so important for us to offer this service. Because when we control the fabrication process, we are able to offer more flexibility and add more value to to the overall construction process.

We welcome the opportunity to tell you more about our steel fabrication capabilities and how they can enhance the value of your next project. Give us a call when you begin your planning process.
